Acieon Labs

Every Sleepaxa lens begins as research. Acieon Labs is the research and intellectual property division of Sleepaxa Private Limited — it develops the patents, publications and wavelength-selective optical frameworks behind Sleepaxa technologies. Acieon publishes the science; Sleepaxa builds the products.

How Sleepaxa is structured.

Sleepaxa

Product Division

Photobiological eyewear products, consultation, prescription orders, customer support and fulfilment — at sleepaxa.in (India) and sleepaxa.com (international). This is where you shop, get fitted and receive support.

Acieon Labs

Research & IP Division

Photobiology research, patents, DOI-linked publications, glossary, ethics and scientific documentation at acieon.com. Acieon does not sell products — it documents the science.

The granted patent

NeuroCalm FLX+ — Patent No. 587746

An optical lens with dual-band selective light attenuation (Application 202521094370), granted 27 April 2026 with all 10 claims allowed. A dual-band architecture — not an FL-41 derivative — that attenuates two tuned wavelength bands relevant to photophobic and circadian load while preserving photopic luminance and colour balance. Inventor: Suraj Dubey. Assignee: Sleepaxa Private Limited.

What Acieon studies

From the photon
to the circadian clock.

How specific wavelengths drive melanopsin phototransduction in ipRGCs — and how selective filtration protects the circadian system.

i.

Wavelength-Selective Filtration

Engineering precise filtration zones that target problematic wavelengths while preserving comfort-critical perception bands — the science behind every Sleepaxa lens.

ii.

Melanopsin & ipRGC Pathways

Intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells contain melanopsin, which peaks near 480 nm and drives non-visual light responses including melatonin timing and photophobia.

iii.

Circadian Optics

The melatonin-suppression action spectrum peaks near 460 nm. Acieon engineers filters that attenuate evening wavelengths while preserving beneficial daytime light.
